This page serves as a location and presentation vehicle for “WWJDemocracy“. This acronym stands for “Western Washtenaw ‘Jump-Starts’ Democracy,” with the double-entendre of “WWJD”. The membership of WWJDemocracy evolved from a few citizens, in “grass-roots” fashion, applying their energies toward direct efforts to make the world a better place. This includes creative media and messaging, “popping up” in protest, and also a persistent campaign in community service and even regular, random trash pickup in local parks and public places. All this with a focus upon creating succinct, clever messages – in song and in sign – to CAUSE PEOPLE to JUST STOP and THINK.
As one of the members of this effort, Steve DeDoes has, naturally, had a major role while collaborating with other in some dynamic musical ideas. One from 2024 is on this page – you can hear & see other productions at this link.
