About Mattie DeDoes - Student, Musician, Athlete
Mattie's broad range of talents and endeavors all come together every time he takes the field, the court, the stage, or even when he takes the test.

Be sure to check out "I'm A Player"- the acclaimed music CD by Mattias DeDoes, alto saxophonist.

Besides his 3.7 GPA and 33 ACT score, Mattie has placed on the honor roll every semester of his high school career.  During his senior year, he will complete his array of AP and Honors curricula (in history, math, physics, and foreign languages).

Mattie DeDoes - Basketball Player
Mattie was an integral part of the 2008-09 Fighting Irish varsity, which claimed CHSL regular season and tournament championships, a Division 2 district championship, and advanced to the regional finals.

Despite losing Mr. Basketball finalist Eso Akunne (now a Michigan Wolverine), FGR basketball is looking toward another great season.  Mattie expects to be a main cog in Coach Pete Schoch's lineup this season as a shooting guard/wing.

Along with his high school career, Mattie played six stellar seasons with the Common Bond Basketball organization in AAU and tournament play around the Midwest and Eastern states.  He has always been a top-notch shooter and perimeter defender, and in his final basketball season is looking to elevate all the athletic aspects of his game.

2009-10 Basketball Season...right around the corner !
