Mattie DeDoes - College Directions / Horizons
I believe - based upon my experiences, my past successes, and my commitment to improvement - that I am a promising D1 prospect, particularly as a pitcher.  Others (coaches, scouts, etc.) share this opinion, assuming that I will continue to put forth the time and effort I have always devoted to my endeavors and training.

Smaller schools very much interest me, particularly if I would have the opportunity to hit and play in the field in addition to pitching.

The experience of playing college baseball is very important to me, as part of an overall educational experience.  I am also looking to baseball - and the other aspects I offer as a college student - to provide financial leverage to help me attend the best school I can.

Academic Goals

Given my broad range of interests and pursuits, I find that larger schools - and/or schools that are located in or near urban settings - are more appealing.  My college experience should challenge me, while also allowing for exploration.  I hope to continue pursuing my music in some way.

Possible Majors / Minors
  • Media Production
  • Applied Science (Physics)
  • Music

Should I major in a more artistic field of study (music, media), I would expect to round out my undergraduate education with math and science courses, to expand my possibilities for graduate school and career.

Career Directions

I hope to use my four years as an undergraduate to determine my priority for the next phase of my life - baseball (?), graduate school, ...

Note: a pre-release of this CD raised funds for my high school baseball program.  My musical artistry - through recordings and live performances - has taken me into many valuable situations and experiences.  See the website for my CD to learn more.
